October 1st is Children's Day in Guatemala, and to help celebrate this momentous occasion, Dos Mundos organized a fiesta for the children at Santo Domingo orphanage.
The afternoon started with the German game "Hit the pot", where Kimberly was blindfolded and had to find a hidden cooking pot. In order to do this, she had to use a wooden spoon to discover which object was the pot. The other children helped her by shouting "hot" or "cold" to indicate if she was near or far from the pot. Once the pot was discovered, so was the mountain of candy inside!
The girls enjoyed a variety of games this afternoon, and even had the opportunity to break open pinatas! Everyone rushed to collect as many sweets as possible when the paper doll finally cracked, even the volunteers! The girls had a blast on Children's Day with games, cake, and tons of candy!
